I’ve been playing around with the idea of a personal blog for a couple of years (hence the patchy early posts) but have been a bit hamstrung by lacking a theme. So, this will be a bit experimental, a theme might emerge and I can focus on that or else it will remain random postings according to what’s on my mind at any given time. No idea exactly how it will work and if it will be of any interest to anyone except me, but I thought it would be a way to explore some of the things I have been thinking about.
A bit about me: I’m a senior lecturer in Psychology. I’m in my forties, happily in a relationship with S. I have no children – by happenstance rather than design. A few things I’m interested in, in no particular order and as an aide-memoire to myself for future blog topics: meditation, running, art, ideas around feminism, healthy living, moderation, travelling, attitudes towards childless/child-free women, social media, philosophy of thought, psychology….
A colleague has a list of things she’d like to achieve each year which she updates on her blog. For now, I’m going to try and blog at least once a week. Here goes…
I’m very glad to have found your blog 🙂
I’m a woman in my mid-twenties, just in the last stages of my PhD, planning a career in academia and interested in, well, pretty much exactly the same things you are. I’ll be following you with interest.
Hi Sarah, thanks for your comment and good luck completing your PhD. Let me know if there’s anything you’re especially interested in and perhaps we can chat online about it. Sue
Wonderful blog; look forward to reading many of your posts:)
Thank you! I have just had a peek at yours and it looks great too – will post more there.
