Inspired by the beautiful colours starting to emerge, I thought I would try painting some flowers this week. I’m reasonably pleased with the results considering these are my first efforts at flowers. Obviously lots to learn but things I learned today include that a more abstract watercolour flower can be a very pleasing thing, that puddles of paint can provide their own outline, and that very fine drawings of flowers must take incredible skill, time and patience!
