2 steps forward….

1 step back… Fitness progress post – end of week 3

Well 3 weeks in and the news is mixed. The good news – 3 weeks of increased exercise and no wine. Bad news – lost 1 pound each of the first 2 weeks and put one back on this week. So, next step is to watch what I’m eating a bit more closely – the way that has worked best for me in the past is using an old Weight Watchers scheme, so it’s time to crack the books out again. The best thing about this plan is that it isn’t directly about calorie counting and nothing is off the menu but it does tackle portion control, so here goes for week 4…. Oh, and I need to put meditation practice into the mix as well – I have a forthcoming colonoscopy which I am NOT looking forward to and I’m hoping some mindful breathing will help me through.
